Every Friday, JJWXC posts on its Weibo account a list of notable recent licences. Today's list included a baihe title, To Become a Phoenix (为凰, pinyin: wei huang) by Yu Xiaoguaiguai (渔小乖乖), which has been licensed for publication in Thai. Keen-eyed baihe licensing watchers have known for some time that this novel had been licensed for publication in a non-Chinese Asian language, but not which one.
According to its JJWXC summary page, To Become a Phoenix is a court intrigue novel with heavy harem drama vibes. The two lead characters have time-travelled from the present day to the (fictional but presented within the novel as real, so: Doylistly fictional, Watsonianly real?) Yun Dynasty, where they now occupy the roles of empress and imperial consort respectively. The summary also indicates that they end up getting rid of the emperor and taking over the empire (or attempt to, anyway). This novel was first serialised on JJWXC in 2016, so is a fairly old (by webnovel standards) title.
If anyone is able to find out any more information about the Thai edition (identity of the publisher, release date, cover art etc), please do post it in the comments or let me know.
