Chapter 21

The police go on a wild goose chase after the person clad in black, and Song Yuhang starts to suspect there are two of them. She demands that Duan Cheng make a call to Lin Yan, but no one is picking up. When Lin Yan finally answers, Song Yuhang tells her that Li Shiping has died. Lin Yan gets to work, with a very bitter Song Yuhang at her side.

Chapter 22

After receiving a phone call, Lin Yan rushes to the psych ward to visit Mrs. Chen, Chu Nan's mother. Unable to cope with the grief Chu Nan's death left her, Mrs. Chen takes it out on the people surrounding her, injuring Lin Yan in the process. Back at the police station, everyone breaks down the deaths of Li Shiping and Sun Xiangming, with no clues about who the person in black may be. Song Yuhang, a woman of logic and reasoning, is stumped by not only the development of the case but the anomaly in the form of Lin Yan.
