In Chapter 3, Shen Ni mentions the possibility that she could break into Bian Jin's memory module by force.

There's not a lot of detail yet about how the virus operates. We're only told that, in the less serious cases, the virus drives the infected person mad, while in the more serious cases, the infected person might mutate, and that one infected might 'devour' another and mutate further. I'm pretty confident that we'll get to see the virus in action in due course!
